When you think of skin care products do you think of the reduction of scars? I have to admit that it is not the  first thing that comes to mind for me either! But I have learned through my own experience with falls and post surgical scars that it truly is important!

I have found that the skin care products that contain vitamin E are the best for the reduction of scars. I find that with regular use it does make a difference. I have worked the application of these skin care products into my nightly routine. That way I don't forget or miss my daily "dose."

In a pinch, if my skin care products have run out, I have been known to use a vitamin E gel capsule. I simply poke a hole into the skin of the capsule with a straight pin. The contents easily squeeze out and I apply the vitamin E oil directly to the scarred area. I have to watch rubbing up against anything, including my husband, or the oil will soil the contacted area!
