nutritional supplements

My Great Aunt was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure to know. She had a rough life with many personal tragedys. I always admired her courage in handling everything life brought her way. She was never bitter and always showed a sunny disposition. As I grew older I learned more about her and eventually it came to my attention that she was a recovering alcoholic.

I took this revelation in stride. I chose to use it a catalyst to learn about the disease and how I could help my Great Aunt. I spent numerous hours reading about nutritional supplements to help her cause. She was open to my information and together we started her on a daily regimen.

The first nutritional supplements we used were live juices for a ten-day cleansing fast to remove the toxins from her body. Afterward she ate nutritional supplements in the form of fresh whole foods, raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains and legumes.

We found herbal nutritional supplements like alfalfa to be a good source of minerals, burdock root and red clover cleanse the blood stream, dandelion root and silymarin help to repair damage done to the liver and valerian root has a calming effect.

My Great Aunt lived to a ripe old age. She was able to maintain her sober status for as long as I knew. She never failed to thank me for the nutritional supplements I told her about.
