What vitamins minerals and nutritional supplements do you take? I personally take a good quality multivitamin, extra vitamin C , iron and magnesium, L-lysine, omega fish oil, cranberry, oil of evening primrose, melatonin, valarian and green tea. Of all of the nutritional supplements I take green tea is the latest addition. The Chinese have been using green tea for its health benefits for thousands of years. It is now popular in the west because it has been promoted by the media. I added green tea to my list of nutritional supplements after I read about its antioxidant benefits. Scientific research indicates that the regular ingestion of green tea may reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, lower cholesterol, strengthen the immune system, fight against cardiovascular disease, reduce the pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis and boost the metabolism. There is also evidence that suggests that green tea augments weight loss efforts, but this is not why I added it to my list of nutritional supplements. I take it because I want to live a long life free of health issues. Most of the benefits of green tea happen internally so that you may not notice them until you visit your health care provider for a checkup. However I have definitely noticed an increase in my energy levels since I started using it about six months ago.
